FoundingAston Martin was started in 1913 by Lionel Martin along with Robert Bamford. The two had registered forces as Bamford & Martin the last year to sell cars manufactured by Singer from premises throughout Callow Street, London where they furthermore serviced GWK and Calthorpe cars.
